Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American singer and actress whose dramatic versatility earned her praise in a variety of genres ranging from period drama to thrillers and action. Johansson, the daughter of a renowned architect, as well as a producer, was raised in New York City. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. When she was a kid she started performing. At 7 years old, she had already auditioned for a number of commercials. The passion for acting developed rapidly and she soon after in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Johansson made her debut an actor in the film North (1994) aged nine. She was just eight when she starred alongside Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson later appeared on screen in Just Cause (1995) but her first breakthrough came with Manny & Lo (1996) a coming-of-age film about abandoned sisters who escape. Next, she received high praise from critics for her performance as a teenage girl who had suffered an accident that resulted in her being damaged in The Horse Whisperer (1998). The film gained her more acclaim with the film Ghost World (2002) as the self-deprecating outcast Rebecca. She has given stunning performances in shows like Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith entered the realm of entertainment as a child. At the age of a young girl, she discovered her passion for performing. With the help from her parents, Smith was offered her first role in the acting world at the age of six. She was in a Dannon yogurt commercial. In the same way as many young actresses she began her career in theatre. She also worked in other initiatives across the USA, while Wildflower was her debut on stage performance. She was a student at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
